Responsibilities - People

Directly manage all our internal engineering team.
Coach and mentor New Tech Leads
Partner with the engineers leaders on annual performance reviews to determine promotions
Plan for growth and create new Engineer and Engineering Manager positions ahead of need
Suggest professional training for Divelement engineers

Responsibilities - organization

Implement and roll out Engineer Level Framework inside the organization with career grow paths
Implement and roll out Engineer Standards in partnership with Tech Leads

Responsibilities - client projects

Join pre sales conversations to ensure projects are good fits for DivElement
Partner with Tech Leads across DivElement to ensure solutions are well architected
Partner with Project Managers, Tech Leads, and Engineer Managers on project staffing decisions
Match engineer skill sets to project requirements
Match engineer preferences and career goals with role opportunities
Suggest established team member pairings

Qualifications

Demonstrated success scoping, planning, and delivering software projects
Experience directly managing a quickly growing engineering team
Previous success rolling out engineering standards in an organization
Technical background as a developer
Excellent written and spoken communication
Bilingual English + Spanish (meetings with USA clients)

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with client facing work
Experience in React, Node, Python, AWS, SQL or MongoDB
Previous experience as a Tech/Team Lead
Deep knowledge en software architecture and design patterns
