Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Science Engineer to join our data team. As a Data Science Engineer, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and software engineering to develop innovative data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract insights from large datasets and build robust data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, clean, and transform raw data.
- Apply statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights and solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement and deploy machine learning models and algorithms into production environments.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover patterns, trends, and correlations in data.
- Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and quality of data through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science tools, techniques, and trends, and recommend improvements to the existing data infrastructure and processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master's or Ph.D. degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Science Engineer, Data Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering data-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
- Strong software engineering skills, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, and debugging.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex and ambiguous business problems.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
